International Key Account Manager (M/F) - Brussels


Your mission:

Reporting to the International Business Development Manager, the International Key Account Manager has the responsibility to generate and enhance the sales of the products in the geographies where the sales are managed directly (Private Label in Canada & US), through a broker (Branded Business in US) or by a local distributor (Branded Business in Germany).

One of his main challenges will be to develop branded sales through selected top countries in his/her region via a local distributor which he/she will be responsible for. The focus will be on developing and expanding business through a strong route to market, channel strategy and distributor relationships within the assigned region.

Main responsibilities:

Account Management

  • Strengthen position in Private Label and build a long term relationship with the key customers.

  • Develop a 3-years account plan per customer.

  • Negotiate the yearly agreements in line with the defined commercial policy, track the in store execution and follow up the competition products/activities.

  • Provide input for the design to value project: together with the Business Development Manager contribute to develop new sources of efficiencies in order to restore the profitability aligned with the customer requirements.


Distributors Development

  • Develop the Brand distribution within assigned countries by prioritizing business opportunities based on in-depth market understanding of product, category, markets (geo-politics & economics), retailers and competition.

  • Select the relevant distributor and define a business plan with a clear performance scorecard.

  • Activate an action plan when needed based on the commercial KPI’s evolution that should be part of the commercial reporting and monitoring.


Portfolio Management

  • Provide the relevant briefing to the Business Development Manager in terms of product portfolio and support programs meeting the category expectations and by taking into consideration local variances and legal aspects.


P&L & Budget Management

  • Responsible for the P&L of his/her stream: ensure that all the sales activities are carried out within the agreed budget, volume, sales and within the given time scale.

  • Contribute in the preparation and input of the yearly budget for his/her customers and distributors.


Your profile:

  • University degree and around 3-7 years’ experience with a strong track record in an International Sales role or in a Salesexperience within an International environment, preferably in a similar industry

  • High accuracy in administrative and operational task management & follow-up

  • First class blend of account management and commercial skills with a high level of business acumen

  • Proven analytical competency, ability to translate data into commercial actions and initiatives

  • Customer understanding and relationship building

  • Storytelling and client engagement

  • Contract negotiation

  • Internal/external influencing power

  • Team Player

  • Excellent knowledge of English and French

  • Willingness to travel internationally (30% of your time)
