To support the growth of the Specialty Chemicals Business Line, our client is looking for a :

 

                                                                                       International Key Account Manager EMEA (M/F)

 

Location  

Home based position in Europe, preferred location would be near a major airport that has good direct connectivity in the territory.

 

Position Overview

The position will be responsible for sales in the Europe, Africa and the Middle East. The position will also be directly involved in Product Development, Customer Development and will be a key player in driving the business forward. The ideal candidate will be a self-driven individual who likes working in a fast paced team and who has experience in International Business Development and sales of Specialty Chemicals.

 

Reports to

The position will report directly to the VP of Specialty Chemicals.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell the organization’s products and services within their region.

  • Manage and develop strategic relationships with selected key Specialty Chemicals accounts

  • Maintain and expand existing business at established accounts

  • Identify and commercialize new opportunities for existing and development products

  • Establish annual, quarterly and monthly sales plans and priorities in support of objectives and schedule own activities so these targets are met.

  • Develop in-depth relationships with existing and new customers in their region.

  • Gather competitive intelligence, particularly regarding competitor activity, and competitive products and their performance.

  • Pursue sales leads; communicate information about the company’s products; build goodwill to educate the actual or potential user; assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products, respond to customer enquiries; negotiate prices and delivery times within limits of authority; and negotiate and finalize contracts/sales orders to meet revenue targets.

  • Determine customer issues and coordinate assistance.

  • Communicate customer feedback and customer forecast to appropriate contacts within the organization.

  • Assist in devising and implementing pricing strategy.

  • Assist in identification, development, and commercialization of new applications for established and new Ascend products.


 

Required Experience & Skills

  • Degree, preferably in Chemical Engineering/ Chemistry

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in the Specialty/Commodity Chemicals market place

  • Has experience in developing new customers in the Specialty Chemicals space

  • Has experience selling into many Specialty chemicals markets

  • Speaks fluent English

  • Must be team player who is self-motivated

  • The preferred candidate would have experience in at least one or more of these sectors: Paints and Coatings Sectors, Oilfield Chemicals, Industrial Chemicals, Mining Chemicals or Agrochemical chemicals


 

Preferred Experience & Skills:

  • MBA

  • German or other secondary language

  • Good Microsoft Office skills
